Der Staudenhof, verwunschen, verwachsen,
verwahrlost und noch immer eine kleine Oase im Zentrum Potsdams, die mit
üppiger Vegetation, dekorativen Elementen aus der DDR-Zeit und den dort immer
vorhandenen Spuren menschlichen und tierischen Lebens (Bierflaschen, Abfälle,
Hundekot) den glatten Oberflächen, die rundherum immer mehr Raum gewinnen
(Bibliotheksneubau, Stadtschloss) entgegentritt.
Hier
schlägt die Potsdamer Künstlerin Beret Hamann für 24 Stunden ihr Lager auf und
lädt Alt-Potsdamer und Migranten zum Erzählen ein: Wie fühlen sie sich in
Potsdam und wie sehen sie die Entwicklung der Stadt? Wie multikulturell ist
Potsdam? Wie im Märchen nimmt Beret Hamann auf ihrem weißen Bett Platz und
wartet auf ihre Gäste. Alteingesessene, die die Stadt seit Jahrzehnten kennen,
ihren Wandel miterlebten von einer sozialistischen Stadt mit
utopisch-ambitionierten Bauprojekten bis hin zur jüngsten Entwicklung zu einem
„Berliner Blankenese“, das vor allem an die preußisch-barocke Vorvergangenheit
anknüpft.
Was
bewirkt diese Entwicklung bei den Einwohnern dieser Stadt? Wie geht es den
alteneingesessenen und neu angekommenen Potsdamern, die am neuen Glanz nur
wenig partizipieren?
Die
Gespräche werden etwa 15 bis 20 Minuten dauern. Fotos der Gesprächspartner
werden nur mit Einverständnis gemacht. Die Gespräche werden mitgeschnitten und
für eine spätere Veröffentlichung gesammelt. Die Gesprächspartner bleiben dabei
anonym und werden nicht mit dem Gesprächsmitschnitt in Verbindung gebracht.

The Staudenhof, enchanted, overgrown, neglected and still a little oasis in the center of Potsdam, which with lush vegetation, decorative elements from the GDR era and there is always present traces of human and animal life (beer bottles, waste, dog waste) confronts the smooth surfaces that gains more and more space around (library building, city Palace). Here the Potsdam artist Beret Hamann pitches their camp for 24 hours and invites Old Potsdam established and migrants to tell: How do they feel in Potsdam and how they see the development of their city? How multicultural is Potsdam? As in the fairy tale Beret Hamann takes a seat on her white bed and is waiting for her guests. Old Potsdam established who know the city for decades, their changing times witnessed by a socialist utopian city with ambitious construction projects up to the recent development of a "Berlin Blankenese", which mainly builds on the Prussian baroque before past.
What’s the effect of this trend among the inhabitants of this city? How feel the old long-established and newly arrived Potsdam inhabitants that hardly participate in the new gloss ?
The conversations will take about 15 to 20 minutes. Photos of the interlocutors will only be made with the agreement of the asked. The conversations are recorded and collected for later publication. The interviewees will remain anonymous and won’t be associated with the call recording.
